Business Cards a simple enough concept right? I know i know your name your number a picture or so maybe a logo on the back and Voila. There you have it but what is 'it' you may wonder. It's your extended offer for contact, not much more than that. Our original custom for the exchanging of Business Cards required a conversation before the offer to continue your talks about employment, sales or any form of business at a later date can happen. But what is the card without the "pre-game pep talk"…Nothing more then ink on paper. While the powers that be want us to believe that print is dead I submit that it is simply evolved or at the least has changed positions.
We now all have a Web Presence that's as active as our actual lives for some. With emails, Facebook, Twitter and so on, the conversation has moved to the web. The need for a "pre-game pep talk" should be replaced with a new Business Card that has a different purpose. This card has the basic contact information as well as your social media outlets that you want to share. Since we live in a world were Google is a verb it would be nice to be able to point the people who matter to an accurate representation of you. The Business Card for Today's Professional.
